Turning your customers into fans, and your fans into superfans
Private informationDescription
"Uh, I know we hired you for website content and stuff - could you do this community thing, too?"
So it began. And it went on, through blogs, websites, forums, social media's rise, social media's fall, through AI, into whatever the hell is next (I have a theory; it's all a big wheel).
Along the way, I drove superheroes around San Francisco in a white panel van. Got strangled by Darth Vader, on multiple occasions. Introduced world-first trailers, created by my team, in rooms of thousands of people. Put on a hat that got people to cheer because of an in-joke. Messaged, and then dealt with, 1/4 of our addressable audience being screwed over by the parent company. Ran a convention and exhibited at plenty more. Slept in the office for a week to fix a major launch failure by another team, by hand. Raised tens of thousands for charities. Created countless real life opportunities for fans to geek out.
I've been inside the belly of the beast at Meta, EA/BioWare, 2K, HTC and others. I've worked in video games, non-profits, pure tech, ISPs and as a magazine journalist/editor.
I specialize in big picture strategy and connecting unseen dots. I can tell you what your community is going to do before it happens to avoid the inevitable mistakes. And all along the way, I'll talk to your customers as humans, treat them with respect, and ensure they end up loving your brand, not just liking it.
